‘Life Through the Lens 2011’ is a collection of photographs from events and happenings covered throughout the year. The book is arranged monthly and showcases an overview of the vibrant life in Laois and the surrounds.
Alf has met many people throughout Laois and beyond in capturing these images. There is a particular feel to certain annual events, such as the Electric Picnic and the National Ploughing Championships where friendships pick up just like it was last week. Every day brings something new and different along with the standard annual events and he loves to get his head around what is happening to be able to capture suitable pictures to tell the story.

“Twelve months of my life are represented here along with the people and places I have visited and a sincere thank you to everybody. It is an honour to have met so many along the way and the welcome and hospitality I get is truly appreciated.”
